Canadian resume guides

A Canadian resume is usually one to two pages, reverse-chronological, written in Canadian English, with no photo, date of birth or marital status. Recruiters skim it in seconds and most large employers run it through an applicant tracking system (ATS) first, so clear headings and the posting's own keywords matter more than design.

The guides below cover the format itself, how to get past Workday, iCIMS and Greenhouse, how to write bullets and summaries that show impact, and how to present international or student experience honestly. Start with the format guide, then run your own draft through the free ATS checker.
