The short answer
Job Bank's resume builder is a Government of Canada service — free, official, and integrated with the Job Bank job database. It's a great safety net, especially for newcomers who don't know where to start.
It's also intentionally basic. There's no ATS scoring, no keyword matching, no modern layouts, and limited AI phrasing help. Jobeefy is designed to sit on top of Job Bank: build a stronger resume with us, then apply through Job Bank (and everywhere else).
We're not affiliated with the Government of Canada. Job Bank is a public service; Jobeefy is a private product.
Where Job Bank Canada is strong
- Free, government-operated, no signup gotchas.
- Directly integrated with the Job Bank job search — largest public Canadian posting database.
- Great starting point if you've never written a Canadian resume before.
- LMIA-flagged jobs are visible right there.
Where it falls short for Canadian job seekers
No ATS scoring. Job Bank won't tell you whether your resume will parse in Workday, Greenhouse, or iCIMS — the systems most large Canadian employers actually run.
Basic templates. Function over polish. That's fine for many trades and public-sector roles, less ideal for tech, professional services, or bilingual corporate roles.
No AI phrasing help. You write every bullet from scratch. See our Bullet Improver for a free assist.
