TEER 3 jobs in Canada
College diploma or apprenticeship under 2 years
What TEER 3 means
TEER (Training, Education, Experience and Responsibilities) is the second digit of every five-digit NOC 2021 code. A code like X3XXX is TEER 3. It describes the education or training usually needed to work in the occupation — not your personal qualifications.
Typical education and training
- Completion of a post-secondary program of less than two years at a community college, institute of technology or CÉGEP, or
- An apprenticeship of less than two years, or
- More than six months of on-the-job training, training courses or specific work experience, with some secondary school education, or
- Several years of experience in a related TEER 4 occupation (when applicable).
Express Entry relevance
Work experience in TEER 0, 1, 2 and 3 occupations is the 'skilled' experience that the Federal Skilled Worker Program and the Canadian Experience Class under Express Entry look for. Program rules, minimum hours and category-based draws change, so confirm current requirements on IRCC's website before you apply.
