    Each province runs a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) that prioritizes its own list of NOC codes. Knowing yours, and knowing where it's in demand, can change your immigration timeline by years.

    Why province matters

    Federal Express Entry is one path. Each province also runs a PNP that nominates candidates with NOCs the province needs. Some PNPs (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Atlantic) are far more accessible than federal draws if your NOC is on their list.

    Manitoba (MPNP)

    Manitoba's MPNP focuses heavily on trades, transport, healthcare support, and food processing. Common in-demand NOCs include:

    Ontario (OINP)

    OINP runs tech-draw streams that target software, data and engineering NOCs:

    British Columbia (BC PNP)
